Stockton and Malone shattered many NBA records while playing together. |

I miss Stockton and Malone... Especially Stockton though. He was such a great athlete, but then also off the court he was a great guy. I wonder what he's up to nowadays... |

@neb1029 if your friends haven't heard of John Stockton or Karl Malone they must not be very big fans of basketball, or at least of the NBA. Would they know Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Julius Erving, Wilt Chamberlain, etc... |

Agreed, he almost never missed a game and always was there when a big shot was needed. Outside of Magic, he is the best PG to ever play the game. Ever. Stats and consistent performance are the proof. Sure, some guards might have had streaks where they played better (Isiah for example) but for a body of work nobody can touch Stockton. Magis was just out of this world, he could dominate a game without taking a shot. |

Ya, the good ol days....Gotta miss em =\
It's too bad John Stockton and Karl Malone didn't have an equivalent high caliber center. If we could have had a TALL/BIG, non-clumsy center to help rebound/block, we would have been unstoppable. We had Jeff Hornacek and Brion Russel for 3's, Stockton/Malone for assists/points and defense. The ONLY thing we were missing was a top-notch center....instead we had Ostertag. =\
No rings, but
All-time Points = 2nd Karl
All-time Steals AND Assist = 1st John! |

I think nobody deserved a Championship ring more than John Stockton. He was the best in the league at that time, and I really think he should have won a ring for all his hard work. |

Steve Nash sounds like John Stockton.
How appropriate considering the similarities between Nash/Stoudemire and Stockton/Malone. Stockton and Malone were craploads better of course, but just sayin. |
