Detroit Pistons vs Oklahoma City Thunder (Allen Iverson hits Game Winner) 12/26/08

Having already scored a dozen points in the fourth quarter on Friday Iverson took things in his own hands. "That was a great play by Allen '' Pistons coach Michael Curry said. "He hadn't had much going for him in the first three quarters but then he took over the game.'' Detroit have taken eight straight against the Thunder and haven't lost to the franchise at home since the former Seattle SuperSonics won 93-72 on Dec. 12 2003. The Pistons didn't have an easy time Friday though as they struggled to beat Oklahoma City (3-27). STATS: Allen Iverson: 22 PTS 3 REB 3 AST 2 STL Tayshaun Prince: 16 PTS 11 REB 2 AST 1 STL 1 BLK Rasheed Wallace: 12 PTS 8 REB 2 BLK Rodney Stuckey: 12 PTS 2 REB 4 AST 2 STL 1 BLK

macmac451 iverson bobcats should work cuz larry brown and iverson know each other 4 a long time and bobcats have no scoring ace player ai should fit well 06/04/2009 - 18:08:44
waseam1 since chauncey is gone and stuckey is a pg stuckey is a raising star and rip is a sg 05/01/2009 - 03:02:22
walkingfridge81 larry brown and ai again? keep dreaming. 05/01/2009 - 00:11:08
dharamhemalover i think iverson should go to minnesota or bobcats both need him badly he can bring his game up again guiding the young players as well 04/14/2009 - 08:53:29
Pawluk44 yeah but they hadnt beaten them when I made that comment. I was suprised with that win I assure you. 03/28/2009 - 10:17:51
adi1096 entire celtics pff we beat them without AI but they didnt have KG 03/27/2009 - 11:57:18
PinoyBaller96 theyre the seattle supersonics, they just moved and got a new team name 03/19/2009 - 23:12:01
Cwolf93 AI is a great HOF candidate. He deserves to win a championship. He is a great player but he has "destroyed the pistons" as one might say. The big 4 with sheed, tayshaun, rip, and chauncey had the best chemistry a team could have along with maybe the best backcourt in the nba. When Dumars made the now regretful trade , Iverson took away that championship caliber team chemistry away and that is why the pistons are doing just fine ever since his injury. GO PISTONS 03/15/2009 - 08:50:34
gjolaj 1st of all you faggits need to stfu we need AI to win a championship if we had chauncy we would have a better record but still wouldnt win a championship dumbass 02/24/2009 - 22:57:56
diack120987 is oklahoma city thunder a new team???????? Cause i haven't watch NBA for a while 02/24/2009 - 08:49:47
dacrazykid2 what i dont understand is why are the giving more minutes to a young stuckey, when rip should be gettin those minutes? Iverson's played PG b4, he knows what to do 02/11/2009 - 06:55:01
Pawluk44 Iverson has been putting up big numbers but for some reason Detroit are not doing aswell as they have for the last like 5 years. And now rip has to come off the bench???? WTF? For pistons to win another championship lets hope that Labron, Kobe, Howard, and the entire Celtics team are injured in an accident of some kind. 01/30/2009 - 02:08:34
reak7835 i think he will stay in detroit...i mean how many other teams is he gonna go to until he gets a ring? he's not gonna do that...he even said he's fully committed to bringing back a championship back to detroit...and i think he will i really do 01/23/2009 - 18:09:21
reak7835 i`think it`s gonna take some time for the pistons to get things in order... they only have 3 players that have play-off experience on the team, iverson is doing good on the team by putting up good numbers.... but they;ll have to use a different lineup cuz right now they have iverson as the shooting guard, rip hamilton as the small forward and tayshaun at the power forward... and it`s not working... 01/23/2009 - 18:07:36
dado5434 tell me about it 01/19/2009 - 01:44:52
vousallezvous They definitely should've kept Chauncy. 01/18/2009 - 09:00:19
tokinblckgie I doubt we'll make it out of the 2nd round now. It's kinda funny when you look at our record though. If Chauncey was still here we would definitely be up there with Cleveland, La and them, possibly even leading the league. With the new, no bs coaching and more experienced bench players we very likely would have been better than last year, especially in the postseason. I wish the Pistons and AI the best but I don't see another championship happening for a while now. 01/17/2009 - 09:04:07
tokinblckgie No and no. 01/17/2009 - 08:55:59
tronvacosto I doubt pistons will go to the NBA finals 01/12/2009 - 19:25:25
cramayel77 im obsessed with iverson and i think he deserves to win at least one championship hes too good not to. hes been in two different teams before detroit and go nothing i reckon pistons are the right teams prince hamilton MM MM 01/11/2009 - 05:47:27
