we will never forget:Vilfan , dalipagić, čošić, delibašić , kičanović , slavnić .....god knows what would happen if Petrović would play back then.
yugoslavia was the best. and look at us now. we are good(im speaking for all five nations of yugoslavia) but together we would still be on top.

thanks for the clarification bro...i remember it was 1978, my family was driving around east avenue in manila...a coaster passed by..i noticed the coaster was packed by big white men, they were cramped actually,..all of them are wearing blue sweatsuits with the big "CCCP" written on their backs..i realized then, "wow that was the russian national team!" great memories! |

Actually it was forward Aleksandr Belov who made the shot. Sergei played guard. Aleksandr died a few years later. |

hey, it's serghei belov, he platyed for this 1978 team...he made the winning shot against the US, in the most controversial olympic basketball gold medal game in the 1972 munich games,..damn he pumped faked doug collins and some dude to score the basket...has a sweeet J! |

This is in Manila, i remember i was eight years old..i saw the russian team pull over in their team bus..they were wearing their warm gear with CCCP on them, wonder what does that mean..up to now i haven't got the slightest idea... |

does anyone have highlights of the semifinal in mundobasket 86 in spain?ussr vs yugoslavia.its the most drama match i ve ever seen.yugoslavia 9 pts front of ussr 30 seconds remain.soviets score 3 3pts and the match going to extra time where soviets win.FANTASTIC game!!! if someone find something pls let me know. |
